A Reading Recommendation: the HDSR Editor's Column
Each issue of the Harvard Data Science Review (HDSR) opens with an Editor’s Column by Professor Xiao-Li Meng, the journal’s founding editor-in-chief and the Whipple V. N. Jones Professor of Statistics at Harvard. HDSR itself is an open-access journal from the Harvard Data Science Initiative, published quarterly by MIT Press, and the column runs with every issue.
Unlike a typical editorial, these columns are substantial, standalone essays. They are as much worth reading for the writing and the way of thinking as for any specific technical content.
